Published on May 16, 2017

An overnight pursuit leads to the arrests of four people for Unlawful Breaking and Entering of Vehicles in the Hampton Cove area.

Officers were patrolling the area of Hampton Cove between Old Big Cove Road and Hwy. 431 for people possibly breaking into cars.  Officers spotted a gray Ford Fusion leaving the area and when they attempted a traffic stop the car sped away.  Officers pursued the car over Governors Dr. to Memorial Parkway and the car went north on the Parkway.  Officers were able to deploy Stop Sticks in the area of the North Police Precinct, and the car eventually stopped on Winchester Road near Blue Spring Road.  All four people were taken into custody without incident.

Howard Pinchion, 19 of Huntsville, Jeremiah Key, 18 of Huntsville, Jonathan Walter, 18 of Huntsville, and a 16 year old male from Huntsville were all charged with two counts of Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle.  The investigation continues and additional charges could be filed.  There were a total of six reports of car break-ins in the area of Hampton Cove overnight.
