Published on September 16, 2021
Healthy Huntsville and Huntsville Parks & Recreation will host Dancing for Diversity from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at S.R. Butler Green at Campus No. 805, 2610 Clinton Avenue SW. The goal of this event is to expose people to new types of dance and instructors and promote dance as a form of exercise for people of all ages and abilities.
“Part of the Healthy Huntsville initiative is to provide free fitness opportunities to Huntsville citizens, especially ones they might not have tried before,” said Mayor Tommy Battle. “An event like Dancing for Diversity allows participants to try numerous forms of dance, and hopefully find one or two they would like to continue as a form of cardio, strengthening and stress release.”
Join us for this unique, free event with different instructors and groups leading participants in a variety of dances. This year’s lineup includes returning acts such as Zumba Kids, dance fitness, Bollywood and line dance, as well as new experiences like Bachata, Irish movement and swing dancing.
