Mayor Tommy Battle, Healthy Huntsville and Huntsville Parks & Recreation encourage everyone to head down to Big Spring Park each Saturday, from May 4 – June 29, for Fitness in the Park exercise sessions.

Fitness in the Park 2019, formerly known as Saturdays in the Park, takes place from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., in Big Spring Park East near the bridge. In the case of rain, classes will be taught under the covered area behind Huntsville Utilities.

“Group fitness is a social way to get out and exercise and possibly try some new types of fitness options, “ says Mayor Tommy Battle. “This year Fitness in the Park includes classic favorites such as Zumba and Pilates, with some newer workouts such as POUND Fitness and Buti Yoga.”

All levels of experience are welcome. Instructors modify classes so that participants can proceed at their own pace. Participants must be at least 16 years old. Please bring water and a mat or towel.
