HPD investigators seek information on murder suspect

July 26, 8:30 a.m. UPDATE: Dominick McIver turned himself in at the Huntsville Police Department this morning.

He is currently being booked in the Madison County Jail. We thank the public for their assistance in this case.

The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) is seeking the public’s assistance for information regarding the whereabouts of 22-year-old Dominick “Big Man” LaShawn McIver.

HPD has obtained a murder warrant for McIver for the shooting death of 25-year-old Keydrick Davies Evans.

HPD Major Crimes Unit investigators received a tip about a body at an abandoned home in the 3100 block of Blue Spring Road and discovered Evans’ body in a shallow grave at the property on Friday, July 22.

HPD has also arrested and charged Daniel Joe Smallwood, 34, and Samantha Bittlow Icy Parker, 28, with murder in connection to the case.

Investigators believe the incident is drug-related.
