Huntsville Police Department applying for a United States Dept. of Justice, Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant

The Huntsville Police Department, of the City of Huntsville, Alabama, will be applying for a United States Dept. of Justice, Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant in the amount of $158,649.00. The City of Huntsville will be dividing the award amount 50/50 with the Madison County Commission.

This grant will fund the purchase of equipment upgrades to be used by the Huntsville Police Dept.

The City Council of the City of Huntsville, Alabama, considers public comments and input to be a vital component of the grant regarding the proposed use of funds and desires that persons should be given the opportunity to provide feedback and to ask questions about the use of these grant funds.
