Huntsville Ranks in Top 10 List in Mid-Size City Affordability

Huntsville earned another round of accolades for its affordability and livability – this time from Money Geek. The financial information company listed Huntsville #3 in its list of “Best Mid-sized Cities to Make a Living.” Money Geek says its number crunchers identified 40 mid-sized cities that have relatively low costs of living and high salaries “to ensure you get the most bang for your buck.”

“It’s no surprise to us, but it’s validating to see others recognize all that Huntsville has to offer,” said Mayor Tommy Battle. “Everyone knows we are a city of transplants, and once people come here and experience our high quality of life and pleasantly discover they have more money in their pocket, they don’t want to leave.”

Money Geek’s ranking comes on the heels of Livability’s listing Huntsville #1 among mid-sized cities in the Best Affordable (and desirable) Places to Live.
