Major Crimes Unit arrest

The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged David Telton Tolbert, 48, with capital murder following a shooting incident. HPD Officers responded to the 7400 block of Highway 72 W in Madison on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
Major Crimes Unit Investigators believe a domestic-related dispute led up to the shooting death of his wife, Savannah Hancock Tolbert, 37.
David Tolbert was arrested for the listed charge on Friday, Dec. 9, and is being booked into the Madison County Jail without bond.
The case remains under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
