Mayor Battle: Celebrate generosity on this Giving Tuesday

Huntsville’s Mayor Tommy Battle released the following statement ahead of Giving Tuesday on December 3, 2019.  Giving Tuesday is an annual, global generosity movement celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving that aims to create an intentional day of charitable acts.

“On this Giving Tuesday, we pay special recognition to Huntsville’s array of exceptional nonprofits who work tirelessly on our behalf to provide significant and necessary services to the sick and differently-abled, to our youth and to education and the arts,” Battle said.

“Huntsville’s generosity shines year-round, and Giving Tuesday is an excellent opportunity to amplify that giving spirit. Volunteer at your nonprofit of choice, make a donation to a cause that touches your heart or simply share a smile and a kind word with a neighbor.”
