Murder Arrest

On January 21st Officers responded to an unattended death call on Ford Place. Upon arrival officers discovered the victim, identified as 83 yr old Betty Scale. She was known to have a son live with her, 57 yr old Donald Marlon Mann. Investigators sought and quickly located Mr. Mann at another location. During the investigation that included Crime Scene Investigators and our Homicide Investigators, an interview with Mr. Mann produced a confession. He told investigators he strangulated the victim on an earlier date. It is believed the incident occurred several weeks ago. He was booked in to jail last night on Murder-Domestic Violence. That is all we can release at this time.
