Pedestrian Struck by Police Car Dies

A pedestrian struck by a police car on Memorial Parkway Monday night died shortly after 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Canisha Staten, 27 of Huntsville, was attempting to cross Memorial Parkway around 10:15 p.m. Monday night when she stepped into the path of a police car traveling south on Memorial Parkway. In addition to the accident investigation and internal investigation is also being conducted because the accident involved a police officer.
