Residents invited to free Health and Wellness Fair on Sept. 28

Free to Public"The City of Huntsville’s Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (ODEI) invites the community to the annual North Alabama Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Calhoun Community College-Huntsville campus, 102 Wynn Drive NW.

This free event promotes healthy living and provides essential health screenings to residents, including blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, HIV, depression, and more. In addition to health services, participants can enjoy healthy snacks, door prizes and expert health resources.

“The annual North Alabama Health & Wellness Fair is a wonderful opportunity for residents to take advantage of free medical testing and valuable wellness information in a supportive, inclusive environment,” said City ODEI Director Kenny Anderson. “Together, we can build a healthier, stronger Huntsville for everyone.”

The event will also feature a Walk for Healthy Living from 8:30 a.m. to noon, encouraging participants of all ages to stay active and take steps toward a healthier lifestyle.

Spanish interpreters will be available to assist those who need language support, ensuring the fair is accessible to everyone.

The Health and Wellness Fair is hosted by the 100 Black Men Greater Huntsville Chapter and supported by the City ODEI, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Huntsville Alumnae Chapter, National Council of 100 Black Women Huntsville Chapter, The Links, Incorporated Greater Huntsville (AL) Chapter, and League of United Latin American Citizens Huntsville Chapter.
