The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) advises residents to expect road closures and traffic pattern changes in downtown Huntsville in preparation for the Panoply Arts Festival at Big Spring Park.
Road closures began Monday, April 20, and will remain in effect through Monday, April 27.
To ensure the safety of festivalgoers and allow for setup and breakdown, the following traffic adjustments are in place:
- Church Street is closed between Clinton Avenue and Williams Avenue.
- Williams Avenue (westbound lanes) is closed between Clinton Avenue and Dr. Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard.
- Monroe Street (northbound lanes) on the east side of the Von Braun Center is reduced to one lane.
All roadways are expected to reopen and normal traffic flow restored by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 27, following the removal of all barricades and fencing.
For more information, including event details and schedules, visit the Panoply Arts Festival website.
HPD encourages drivers to use caution in the area, follow all posted detours and signage and allow additional time for travel.
