STAC Agents and Decatur Police Make Spice Seizure

Agents with the Madison-Morgan County HIDTA Drug Task Force (STAC) along with Decatur Police conducted a takedown of two drug traffickers resulting in the seizure of a large amount of Spice, and the arrests of Hamilton Stevenson and Ameisha Dothard.

 

On August 10, STAC Agents and Decatur Police stopped a car as it pulled into a residence at 172 Hwy. 67 South in Decatur.  The stop was the result of a lengthy investigation into the distribution of large amounts of “Spice” in the North Alabama area.  Agents detained Stevenson and Dothard and recovered approximately 5.6 pounds of “Spice” behind the residence.  The estimated street value of the “Spice” is approximately $40,000.00. Stevenson and Dothard were charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance-Analog and they were booked into the Morgan County Jail on $500.000.00 bond.
