STAC Agents Make Heroin Trafficking Arrest

Agents with the Madison-Morgan County HIDTA Drug Task Force (STAC) have charged 44 year old Markee Bennett of Huntsville with drug trafficking.
The arrest was the result of a search warrant served in the 2800 block of Governors Drive following a lengthy investigation involving the distribution of heroin in the area. The search warrant resulted in the seizure of 48.2 grams of black tar heroin and 20 grams of marijuana. The drugs have an estimated street value of approximately $19,000.
Bennett was charged with Trafficking in Heroin and Illegal Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree. The investigation is ongoing.
