Traffic Alert: Rocket City Marathon

Weather permitting, the Rocket City Marathon will start at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11. The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) will be assisting with traffic control for the event.

HPD Officers will be posted along the route to help runners make it safely through the course. Areas impacted by the marathon include downtown Huntsville, 9th Ave., the Space and Rocket Center, Oakwood Ave. and Five Points east of Andrew Jackson Way.

Please use caution and expect delays if traveling through the areas. All races are expected to conclude by 1 p.m.
