Traffic Fatalities

On Monday, April 11, at 6:06 p.m., HPD officers responded to a single-vehicle accident at Bob Wade Ln and Mt. Lebanon Rd.

Investigators believe the driver lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road striking a utility box causing it to flip.

The driver, a 16-year-old male, and an 11-year-old male occupant were pronounced dead at the scene. A third occupant, a 12-year-old male, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to be okay.

The crash is under investigation by the Huntsville Police Department, and no further information is available.
