Victim Dies after Thursday Afternoon Shooting

Huntsville Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of Lucas Payne, 36 of Huntsville.

Officers responded to a call of a shooting in the parking lot of a convenience store at Oakwood Avenue and Pulaski Pike around noon yesterday.  Officers found the victim, Lucas Payne, suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was transported to the Hospital where he later died.
