Traffic Safety Checkpoints

The Huntsville Police Department D.U.I. Task Force will be conducting Traffic Safety Checkpoints tonight. The Task Force utilizes data provided by the State that determines traffic accident hotspots across the city. There are 40 designated hotspots throughout Huntsville, and they will be conducting checkpoints at one or more of those locations. The Huntsville Police Department has charged 25 year old Carthell Mosley of Huntsville with Assault following a shooting this morning in a convenient store parking lot. Officers responded shortly before 9:00 a.m. to the Wavaho at 2305 Governors Drive for a report of a fight and gunshots.
