Be a lifesaver! Aquatics Center offers Spring and summer lifeguarding classes

The Huntsville Aquatics Center will offer a series of lifeguarding classes this spring and summer, providing participants with essential lifesaving skills and the opportunity to earn a Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification. The in-person courses include First Aid, CPR and AED training for the Professional Rescuer. Sessions run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and are open to individuals aged 15 and older.
- Class #1: April 26-27 and May 3-4 (Registration deadline – April 22)
- Class #2: May 12–15 (Registration deadline – May 8)
- Class #3: June 2–5 (Registration deadline – May 29)
Interested participants must register at the Huntsville Aquatics Center, 2213 Drake Ave. The cost is $150. Class sizes are limited, so register early to ensure a spot.
Participants should bring a swimsuit, towel, goggles, snack, water bottle, a change of dry clothes, proof of photo ID.
Upon completing the full course, which includes an online component, participants will receive an official lifeguard certification, preparing them for employment at pools and aquatic facilities.
