Planning
Council passed a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement between the City of Huntsville and Bailey – Harris Construction Company, Inc. to provide construction services for the Von Braun Center New Music and Dining Venue. The venue will provide food and beverage services, as well as a spacious setting for Huntsville’s growing music scene.
Parks & Recreation
Council passed a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement between the City of Huntsville and Christopher Contractors for construction services to light the John Hunt Park Soccer Fields 3 & 4. Ample lighting for the fields raises the usability of John Hunt Park for evening soccer play.
Board Appointments
Carol Bell was reappointed to the Huntsville Downtown Redevelopment Authority for a term to expire July 26, 2022, by Council Member Russell.
Chris Hanback was reappointed to the Huntsville Downtown Redevelopment Authority for a term to expire July 26, 2024, by Council Member Russell.
Paul Matheny was reappointed to the Huntsville Downtown Redevelopment Authority for a term to expire July 26, 2024, by Council Member Russell.
Frank Collazo, Jr. was reappointed to the Research Park Board, Place 2, for a term to expire July 22, 2025, by Mayor Battle.
Kim Lewis was reappointed to the Research Park Board, Place 4, for a term to expire July 22, 2025, by Mayor Battle.
Mike Stanfield was reappointed to the Research Park Board, Place 5, for a term to expire July 22, 2022, by Mayor Battle.
