With summer settling in, now is the perfect time to explore Huntsville Parks & Recreation’s 2026 Summer Program Guide.

The seasonal guide features more than 100 free activities and special events designed to help residents make the most of the summer months. Offerings include strength and wellness programs, athletics, arts activities, outdoor recreation and family-friendly community events.

The guide also includes annual favorites like the Wally Vess Youth Fishing Rodeo, Color Jam Family Run & Walk and Light Up the Night.

“Programs in the Summer Program Guide are designed to give residents simple ways to stay engaged throughout the season,” said Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett. “Whether someone wants to attend a community event, try a new activity or spend more time outdoors with family and friends, there are opportunities available all summer long.”

Programs and events take place at parks, recreation centers and community spaces across Huntsville, giving residents opportunities to explore different amenities and activities throughout the city.
