Live Night at The Camp brings Nashville talent to Huntsville, May 30

The free event is a collaborative effort between the Huntsville Music Office, East Iris Studios, MidCity District, and the Apollo Coalition, building on Huntsville’s growing reputation as a music‑forward city that embraces both local talent and cultural exchange.

Matt Mandrella, Huntsville Music Officer, said the event reflects the goals of the Huntsville Music Office’s rapidly expanding music export programs.

“Our music export programs are designed to build real bridges between Huntsville and the nation’s most dynamic music communities,” Mandrella said. “By bringing Nashville artists here and sending Huntsville artists there, we’re creating sustainable opportunities for exposure, collaboration, and career growth.”

Pat Kraus, Senior Vice President of Recording Studios and Archives for Universal Music Group, emphasized the significance of this platform for emerging artists.

“For artists, opportunities like this are transformative,’ Kraus said. “Collaborations between cities open new audience pathways, strengthen professional networks and give rising performers a rare chance to build momentum outside their home base. Huntsville’s commitment to artist development makes these events especially meaningful.”

Joanna White, Managing Director of the Apollo Coalition, highlighted how the event supports MidCity’s vision for The Camp.

“The Camp and the MidCity District were built to be cultural gathering places, and this type of exchange is exactly what brings them to life,” White said. “Welcoming East Iris and the Huntsville Music Office to the District deepens the Coalition’s mission to build community through culture and innovation. Events like this strengthen our local identity in powerful, lasting ways.”

Attendees can expect an evening of high‑energy performances, great food and amenities from The Camp, and a welcoming environment that celebrates artistry from both sides of I‑65.
