STAC Agents Make Drug Trafficking Arrests

The Madison-Morgan County HIDTA Drug Task Force (STAC) charged four Huntsville men with Drug Trafficking over the weekend.

 

Friday April 14, STAC Agents stopped two vehicles involved in a marijuana distribution organization.  During the traffic stop Agents found a small amount of marijuana, Xanax, a stolen handgun, and $23,000 in cash.  As a result officers obtained a search warrant for 157 Sanderson Road in Meridianville.  The search warrant was served shortly after the traffic stops and resulted in the seizure of approximately 28 pounds of high-grade marijuana in two duffel bags.  The drugs have an estimated street value of $250,000.  Agents also seized a handgun during the search.

 

Agents have charged 42 year old Tavaris Battle, 31 year old Nandi Biba, 31 year old Patrick Kurilla, and 35 year old Sanvel Betrosian with Trafficking Marijuana.  The case is still under investigation and could result in additional charges.
