Security guard injured in University Drive shooting; pursuit leads to arrests
December 18, 2025The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) is investigating a late-night shooting in the 6500 block of University Drive that left a security guard injured and led to a multi-agency vehicle pursuit and arrests. On Wednesday, Dec. 17 around 10 p.m., HPD officers responded to reports of a shooting in that area. Upon arrival, officers found a security guard suffering from a gunshot wound.
