Celebrate Fall Fest events with Huntsville Parks & Recreation
Published on October 19, 2021
Looking for a fun, free and safe activity for kids the week before Halloween? Huntsville Parks & Recreation is inviting the public to attend its Fall Fest events Oct. 26, 28 and 29 from 6-8 p.m., at numerous recreation centers throughout the City.
“Our goal is to increase quality programming and events for Huntsville residents throughout the year,” said Parks & Recreation Director Bernita Reese. “We’re excited to continue the fall celebrations that recreation centers have had in the past, as well as add new options to reach a broader audience.”
School-age kids will enjoy activities such as haunted halls, scavenger hunts, cornhole, trunk-or-treat, face painting and more. Programming will differ per center.
On Oct. 26, Fern Bell Recreation Center will host its Fall Fest with the department’s Therapeutic Recreation division to accommodate those with physical or mental disabilities and their families. The purpose of the event is to create a safe, inclusive environment for those with specific needs and sensory sensitivities. Please RSVP to Debra.Hatley@HuntsvilleAL.gov.
