This year will mark the 8th Annual Education Celebration. Scheduled for Saturday, August 18, from 9 a.m to Noon at Grissom High School, this outdoor event celebrates the eleven public schools in Madison County Commission District 5 and the communities they represent.

This event is sponsored by Commissioner Phil Riddick and includes booths, attractions, an entertainment stage, inflatables, and more.  There is no admission charge to the event, and there is no charge to have an informational/promotional booth at Education Celebration.  All booths must be registered with the Madison County District 5 Office.  Concessions are available for purchase from Five Guys Burgers and Fried, Kona Shaved Ice, and Coke.  The Education Celebration has grown significantly each year with last year’s attendance totaling approximately 1500 people.  You may visit the Facebook page for photos and comments from previous years.  For more information, contact Becky Vansant at the District 5 Office at (256) 532-3497 or by e-mailing bvansant@madisoncountyal.gov.
