Huntsville municipal offices closed Dec. 24 for Christmas

The City of Huntsville’s municipal offices will be closed Friday, Dec. 24, for the Christmas holiday. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27.

Because there is no garbage collection on Fridays, residential sanitation service will not be affected.

The following services will be affected:

• Public Transit: Orbit fixed-route and Access paratransit services end at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 24. There will be no service Saturday, Dec. 25.
• Parks & Recreation: Recreation centers and facilities will be closed Dec. 24-25. Centers with regular Sunday hours will be open Sunday, Dec. 26.
• Animal Services: Huntsville Animal Services will be closed Dec. 24-26.
• Municipal Court: Huntsville Municipal Court will be closed Dec. 24.
• Public Safety: Police and Fire will be on duty through the weekend.
