Municipal offices will be closed for Independence Day Holiday

City of Huntsville municipal offices will be closed for the upcoming Independence Day Holiday on Friday, July 3. Residential garbage collection will not be affected. Police and Fire will continue to be on duty throughout the holiday weekend.

  • Public Transit will provide regular Shuttle Bus and Handi-Ride service on Friday, July 3, but will be closed on Saturday, July 4.
  • Parks & Recreation will close its recreation centers for the holiday weekend, July 3-4.Recreation center pools and splashpads will be open on Friday, July 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will be closed on Saturday, July 4. The Everybody Can Play Splash Pad will be open from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., on July 4. Please check the Parks & Recreation website for more information.
