UPDATE: Apartment Fire at 800 Hundley Drive

The Huntsville Police Department has identified the victims from the Apartment Fire which occurred on October 4th, 2016 on Hundley Drive.

 

  • Stepfather – Alovi McAfee, age: 41
  • Stepson – Raheem Dennis, age: 15
  • Stepson – Leshaun Dennis, age: 10
  • Huntsville Firefighter – Josh Cochran

 

The UAB Hospital Media Relation’s office has advised that both juveniles conditions are “very critical” as of 1300 hours today.

 

On October 4th, 2016 at 0840 hours Huntsville Police along with Huntsville Fire responded to 800 Hundley Drive on an apartment fire.  During the fire investigation it was determined that Ebony Nicole Hill, age 29, intentionally set fire to her apartment and ran outside.  The fire spread to an adjoining apartment which was occupied by (2) juveniles, age 10 and 15, and (1) adult, age 41.  Both juvenile victims were flown to UAB Children’s Hospital – burn unit.  The adult victim is being treated at Huntsville Hospital for serious injuries.  A Huntsville Firefighter was injured while rescuing one of the juvenile victims’ and was treated and released from Huntsville Hospital.

 

Ebony Nicole Hill was arrested and charged with (1) count of Arson 1st degree, (3) counts of Assault 1st degree, and (1) count of Assault 3rd degree.  She was booked into the Huntsville/Metro County Jail.
