Huntsville approves construction contract for Orion Amphitheater parking deck
August 13, 2026Construction will begin soon on the new parking deck at The Orion Amphitheater after the City approved a construction contract with Thrash Commercial Contractors Inc. The contract is for $32,950,000. The facility will have 924 parking spaces and be built across Amphitheater Drive from The Orion. August 13, 2026The City Council approved the annexation of 536.8 acres of land in eastern Madison County near Gurley. The land, known as Cleary Farm, is located on the south side of Little Cove Road and just east of U.S. Hwy 72. Private developers are planning to build 400-500 single-family homes on the newly annexed land. The area in the annexation is defined by the black shaded area.
